Here are some practical ways you can implement when your motivation or mood feels off.
1. Read a Book
I personally start reading a book, when moods feel off. It is engaging & simple task that you can perform anywhere.
Research also find that reading for pleasure can provide break from daily stress, increase productivity & self - understanding, & support wellbeing.
Do, only if you like to read.
2. Sleep or take a nap:
A small nap can regulate mood & emotions.
Personally, when I find myself unmotivated or having no mood, I take 20 mins of nap.
3. Start small:
Action can come before motivation.
Keep task small enough to start & then after completion either you can continue or have a break.
4. Take a break:
Get out from your desk, go for a walk or just watch out of window.
For me personally, many times I feel unmotivated because my brain was tired, sitting on desk for longer hours can increase fatigue.
Researches show Physical activity is consistenty associated with better mental health outcomes.
5. Do exercise:
One of my favourites & most practical way.
Exercise can help to increase serotonin, involved in regulating mot mood, sleep, appetite & emotional processing.
It is also one of the most used methods by me to get my mood back.
Now rather than just reading try to implement your methods in your life.
